By The Way ….

I would like to share with you an experience that happened to me. My husband, Mike, and I attended a wedding at The Breakers in West Palm Beach (magnificent place) and I wore a beautiful coral pink chiffon gown that I bought at Lillie Rubin for $100!!! Yes, you heard me right, Lillie Rubin for $100. You might be interested to know that Lillie Rubin also owns Cache (sensational clothes).

Between You & Me … Lillie Rubin has a clearance room in the back of their store in the Aventura Mall (Miami) that is incredible … (just tell Lisa, Chris, Inez or Carmen that Susan, or the girl with the beautiful bra straps, sent you, it might take them a minute but they’ll remember, they love the bra straps). I ended up buying three dresses in the clearance room and I wanted to buy more, but no can do … it was painful to walk away.

Back to the story. Mike and I couldn’t help but to notice that people were staring at me, actually everyone was staring at me. I knew that pink has always been my best color, or at least it used to be my best color, best colors change as we get older and I hit the big one this year … the real big one … now my best color is olive green, … go figure. Anyway … I’m all over the place with this, you’ll get used to it.

Complete strangers were commenting to me about how beautiful my gown was. Yes, the gown was beautiful, but very plain, not a bead on it, and it was, as you will guess, strapless. My first strapless gown … it was about time!!!! My bra straps blended in so well with the gown that it looked like part of the gown and being that they were made of the most beautiful glistening AUSTRIAN Crystal Beads made the gown outstanding.

Finally a woman sitting next to me commented about how beautiful my gown was and I told her that the straps were not a part of my gown but actually my bra straps. My first four orders were placed and the rest is history … Thank You Kathy & Bali from Atlanta, you will always be special … we bonded and now I have a place to stay when I visit Atlanta … YES!!!

So, “A Company Was Born.” Actually, I’ve experienced much pain with the birth of Show Off Straps and it took me many, many, many years to get to this point … but that’s another story for another time.
